Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Saturday, December 3rd.
Well, we are all decompressing after that amazing series between Jjakji and Leenock last night to crown the new GSL Code S Champion. If you missed it, you have to watch that series. It is well worth the ticket price by itself.
Now that Code S is done, all eyes are on the NASL Season 2 Finals going on this weekend. In the ro8 matches from today we had Hero over HasuObs 3-0, Sen over BratOK 3-1, Thorzain over Morrow 3-1, and finally Puma over Idra 3-0. Then, in the first semifinals match we had Sen failing to find any answer to Hero as Hero advances to the finals with the 4-0 victory. In the last match of the day we had Thorzain falling to the pervious champion Puma 4-2, setting up a finals rematch from DreamHack Winter with EG.Puma taking on Liquid'Hero.

NewSCast for 2-Dec-11
Alright, we are here with a new month. Welcome everyone, I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Friday, December2nd.
Well, a bunch of news to go along with the first day of the NASL Season 2 Finals down in Southern California. The matches for today were all bo5, single-elimination match ups where we had Hero over HwangSin 3-1. After that was Huk falling in an epic PvP to the winner HasuObs 3-2. Next was BratOK taking down Dimaga 3-2, Sen handling TT1 3-1, team-kill as Mana fell to the might of Morrow 3-0, Thorzain dominated DeMuslim 3-0, Idra rolling over Strelok 3-0 with his safe and defensive play, and finally we had an awesome bo5 with Puma taking our Sheth 3-2.
The brackets for the ro8 are Hero vs. HasuObs, BratOK vs. Sen, Morrow vs. Thorzain, and Idra vs. Puma.
Just finishing up as I speak were the GSL Nov. Code S finals between the Terran Jjakji and the Zerg Leenock. While everyone expected Leenock to take the series one-sidedly, it turned out to be much closer and is already being called the best finals series in GSL Code S to date. In the end we did have a new champion, and this time it was Jjakji who remained strong and calm in the 4-2 victory. There were various moments where Leenock was close to forcing a game 7, but in the end fell to the might of the terran. Now we wait to see about the Code A tourney.
In other news, we have the announcement that the team GosuGamers has officially folded. No word on where the players on that team are heading. Also announced is that the recent partnership between Quantic Gaming and IM has been dissolved after only a couple of months. It is unclear as to why this has happened, but both parties released statements along the lines of "different views and directions." Speaking though of Quantic, one of its members, the popular streamer Destiny, is heading over to Korea and will be staying with the team StarTale for around 3 weeks for training and experience.

NewSCast for 30-Nov-11
Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Wednesday, November 30th.
Well, we are in that calm before the NASL Season 2 finals coming up this weekend. Before we get into that though, here are the results from the GSL over the weekend:
First, we had the GSL Code S semifinals matches. The first round was jjakji and Oz in an awesome back and forth series that ended with the Terran Jjakji taking it 3-2 and advancing to his first Code S finals. The other match also took all 5 games to decide as Leenock, your MLG Nation Champion looking unstoppable as he took down the terran master MVP 3-2 to advance to his first finals. This means that for the first time in a long time we are guaranteed a new Code S Champion this season.
Now, in Code A we had ro32 play with Losira over Alicia 2-1, Keen over YuGiHo 2-0, Fin over Polt 2-0, Brown over Ryung 2-0, Bomber over JYP 2-0, Parting over Clide 2-0, Lucky over Nada 2-0, Cezanne over Tassadar 2-0, July over Genius 2-0, asd over Hero 2-1, Curious over Monster 2-0, DRG over Luvsic 2-0, Boxer over Virus 2-0 with some very impressive reaper builds, Taeja over Inca 2-0, MarineKing over Zenio 2-0, and finally SuperNova over Squirtle 2-0.
Also in GSL news, the Code A caster Doa has resigned from GSL and taken a job as one of the in-house casters with IPL. Good luck to him and it is good to see him coming back to the states.
Now, with NASL finals coming this weekend, here are the championship brackets for Friday night's ro16:

Not only that, but he has been given one of the Code A spots for GSL January, so let's see how the Infested Terran does over in Korea. Other player news from the weekend include the Korean Check signing with eSahara Esports, Clide has left TSL and joined Slayers, SangHo and JYP both leave TSL, and former BW pro Hyun has signed with TSL. We also have confirmation that QXC, the Bandana Terran, has been transferred from FXO to Complexity. This is another strong foreign pick up for Complexity in recent history.

StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Saturday, September 10th
Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewS Cast for Saturday, September 10th.
Well well, since the finish of the GSL Season last night, there has not been a ton of noteworthy action. We did have some great player news though. The strong European and former WC3 champion ToD, who recently announced that he will be going to Korea to train, has also announced his new team. It appears that he has been picked up by FnaticMSI. He has mentioned that he is friends with many of the teams players and will be trying hard to become an SC2 champion.
Also announced today is that the Korean player Lyn, formally of WeMadeFOX, has signed with a new team. This is the strange part though as it is not a team one would expect. It appears that he will be playing for Team Pandarea. If you are unaware, they are a strong Chinese team mostly focused on WC3. They have also said that Lyn will be training in WC3 and it does not sound like they are that interested in him for SC2, but we will see what the future holds.
Today we did have some 4v4 action in the TL TeamSpeak Open #23. The 4v4 format is not very well practiced in tourneys today, so it was interesting to see. The final 4 teams were Perseverance, MetroSG, Hyst3ria, and hjaone2. The finals were Perseverance over hjaone2 2-0.
Well, coming up this week is the big launch of NASL season 2 on Wednesday. Division 1 will play with a bang as we will have Vibe vs. Sheth, Hero vs. Cruncher, White-Ra vs. Fenix, and DeMuslim vs. Lowely. Let's hope everything runs smoothly and we get to see some great action.

StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Wednesday, August 24th
Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewS Cast for Wednesday, August 24th.
Well, welcome back to everyone from the weekend. We are in the "Calm before the Storm" that is MLG Raleigh coming up this weekend so there has not been a ton of action, but we did have some epic match ups early Wednesday morning in the GSL Code S ro16. The first match to open up the night was the challenge of champions as team mates MVP and NesTea squared off. The results could have gone either way, but in the we will not see a 3-peat as NesTea was eliminated by MVP 2-0. The second match of the night was EG.Huk, the foreign hope, taking on his old team mate oGs.Nada, a Korean fan favorite. In some exciting games, Nada fell to the might of the Canadian Huk 2-1. The third match of the night pitted Slayers.Ryung against ZeNEX.Puzzle and Ryung showed why he is one of the best up-and-coming Terran players in the world as he dominated Puzzle 2-0. The final match was ST.July taking on HongUn and with some ultra-aggression from July, HongUn could not keep up falling 2-0.
We have also finished the second week of play in the EG Master's Cup series. Here are the results from week 2: Mouz over Sixjax 4-0, FnaticMSI over Dignitas 3-1, EG over Empire 3-1, and Gosu over Complexity 3-2.
In other news, the NASL has announced the Season 2 start date of September 14th and has been releasing some of the players over the last few days. Here is the complete released list as of Wednesday:
Huk, Jinro, qxc, Lowely, NightEnd, Softball, Sen, Inka, Fenix, KiwiKaki, White-Ra, Strelok, DiMaga, Tyler, and Mana. The will be releasing another 5 players each day until all names are announced. Once that is done, I assume that they will release the groups as well.
In other news, it appears that the European team Alternate Attax has signed the player Cloud, a strong European player formally of MyM. Good luck to them.
Also released today was a new patch on the PTR server. This patch makes a number of balance changes as well as bug fixes. As this is on the PTR, we will not know what changes they decide to make permanent and what they decide to change back, but quite often it is a good indication of things to come down the line.
