Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Thursday, November 17th.
Well, here we are again with the calm before the storm that is MLG Providence National Championships for 2011. Not a ton of news or action as everyone is gearing up for what may turn out to be the biggest weekend in SC2 ESPORTS to date. We did have some play in the NASL Semi-Open tourney. The matches for today were all loser's bracket action as Drewbie took out Stephano 2-1, Loner took down Zelniq 2-0, Major took out Drewbie 2-1, Attero beat Grubby 2-0, and Pokebunny took out Mentalist 2-1.
In other news Vile Gaming has announced that they have signed a player named "Chance" who will be at MLG in the Open bracket. They are also hinting at another "Korean" announcement coming soon.
Well, that's about all the news that we have for you tonight. Don't miss any of the action, but if you do you can find it here the next morning at SC2NewSCast.com.

NewSCast for 29-Sept-11
Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewS Cast for Thursday, September 29th.
Well, I normally start with tourney updates, but today there was some big news in players and teams. The ex-BW pro ForGG, who has been playing SC2 under the name "Raptor" on the KR server, has announced that he has joined Team Old Generations, oGs. He will be playing under the name oGs.Fin. This is exciting because while we have some Korean BW greats playing SC2, this is one of the first that was at the top of his game when he switched. Let's see what he does in SC2.
We did have Week 3 Division 2 play in the NASL. The maps were Antiga Shipyard, Terminus, and Dual Sight. The first match was Huk taking down Cloud 2-1. Next we had Haypro falling to Rain 2-1. The next match was BratOK taking down DarkForce 2-0, and the final match was Mana over Axslav 2-0. The division 2 standings are:
Huk 3-0, Mana 2-1, BratOK 2-1, Rain 2-1, Cloud 1-1, DarkForce 1-1, Haypro 0-3, Axslav 0-3.
In other action we had the GSTL Playoffs early Thursday morning. Here is the rundown from that:
JYP over Terious, Annyeong, and BboongBboong. Next was MarineKing over JYP. This brought in Clide to take out MarineKing. Next was Creator who came in to take down Clide, Heart, Revival, and aLive to take the series for Prime 5-4. They advance to the finals to play the winner of MVP and NSHoseo.
MLG has done more in their Global Invitational. The matches today were lower bracket play as Coca took out Puma 2-0 and Hero took down Boxer 2-0.

StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Friday, September 9th
Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewS Cast for Friday, September 9th.
All eyes are on Korea today as GomTV hosted the GSL All-Star Tournament followed by the Code S Finals. In the All-Star game, each match was a bo1 with Mr. Chae and Engine "betting" points on each match up for fun. The results were Jinro over FruitDealer, Losira over MC, Boxer over July, MarineKing over MMA, and finally Huk over NesTea. When it was all said and done Engine won the little game over Mr. Chae 8-2.
This led into the great Code S finals between IM.MVP and oGs.TOP. This series just finished up right now and all I have to say is that you have to watch game 1. The overall score was nothing to be too surprised about as the great MVP took the series 4-1 over TOP in an amazing TvT series. Congrats on your third victory MVP!
Also released today are the players for the MLG Global Invitational. The regions being represented are North America, Korean, and Europe. First, the NA invites are Idra, Kiwikaki, Slush, Sheth, Tyler, Major, Destiny, and InControl. For Korea we have MMA, MVP, Losira, Boxer, Puma, Hero, Bomber, and Coca. The final group, the Europeans, will be represented by Naniwa, Sjow, Ret, Haypro, Thorzain, White-Ra, Jinro, and Sase. Many players including Select, NesTea, and Huk were also invited, but all declined. The matches will start on September 13th with English casting by none other than Artosis and JP McDaniel, so make sure to tune into those games.
