Well, here we go again. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Thursday, December 8th.
The main bulk of action today was over in the WCG Grand Finals in Korea. We had groups E-H play today and in the end it was Huk and Snute taking group E, DarkForce and MarineKing taking group F, Bling and Kiwikaki taking group G, and finally we had SuperNova and MacSed taking group H and advancing to the championship brackets. As for those brackets, here are the matchups starting tomorrow:
Moonglade vs. MarineKing, Huk vs. Kas, MVP vs. MacSed, Bling vs. Killer, XiGua vs. Snute, DarkForce vs. F91, Titan vs. Kiwikaki, and SuperNova vs. Goody.
In other big news today, Naniwa, the strong foreign protoss hope, has had his contract transferred from Complexity to Quantic Gaming. This means that both Nani and Sase will be living together in Korea practicing at the StarTale house. Complexity and Naniwa both are citing issues with each other and stating that Naniwa will be more comfortable working and living with Sase in Korea. On a related note, EFSI World is reporting that someone close to the discussions has stated that Naniwa is the most difficult and disrespectful player and that "he needs to seek professional help." We will see how Johan does with his new team though.
Also announced today are the dates and setup for HomeStory Cup IV. In case you missed it, HomeStory Cup is a tourney set up in Germany where community member Dennis Gehlen invites player to his loft in Germany and holds a big weekend tournament with top players from around the world. Last year's HomeStory Cup III was one of the most popular tournaments with tons of players and casters, the layed back attitude of it all, and with Huk taking the title just a week after DreamHack Summer.
Well, that's about all the news that we have for you tonight. Don't miss any of the action, but if you do you can find it here the next morning at SC2NewSCast.com.
