NewSCast for 6-Oct-11

Here we go again everyone.  I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Thursday, October 6th.

Well, a ton of action with the start of IPL3 today.  In the largely ceremonial group staging we had Group A play with Alive taking it 3-0, Stephano at 2-1, Huk at 1-2, and Boxer at 0-3.  In group B we had MC looking rather strong as he took the group 3-0.  Next was Ryung at 2-1, Ret at 1-2, and Strelok at 0-3.  Group play resumes tomorrow with groups C and D.

In the open bracket there at IPL here are players that are still in the winner's bracket: Puma, Socke, DeMuslim, Sheth, Artist, KR, Violet, and Lucky.  In the Loser's bracket we have Minigun, Slush, Catz, Spanishiwa, Inori, Kiwikaki, Machine, and Haypro along with a lot of other players down in the lower parts of that bracket.

In the NASL we had Division 2, Week 4 play.  The maps for today were Metalopolis, Antiga, and Terminus.  The results were Huk over Haypro 2-0, Rain over BratOK 2-1, Mana over Darkforce 2-1, and finally we had Axslav over Cloud 2-1.  The standings for this division after 4 weeks of play are:
Huk 4-0, Mana 3-1, Rain 3-1, BratOK 2-2, Cloud 1-2, Darkforce 1-2, Axslav 1-3, and Haypro at 0-4.

In other news, the strong Protoss SaSe, who is over in Korea right now, has announced that he has found a team with Quantic Gaming with players like Agh, Inka, and Zelniq.  They also announced that they will be sending him to MLG Orlando.
