StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Wednesday, September 7th

Alright everyone, here we go again. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewS Cast for Wednesday, September 7th.

Well over the weekend we had some great action over in Korea for the Up and Down matches to decide the final Code S and Code A spots for the next season. Here are the results from Day 1:
SuperNova over Alicia, Leenock over Byun, SuperNova over Yoda, Alicia over Byun, Leenock over Yoda, SuperNova over Byun, and Leenock over Alicia. This means that Code S goes to SuperNova and Leenock, with Alicia, Yoda, and Byun all going to Code A.
From Day 2 play we had a ton of matches to decide this group: Losira over MC, Check over Kyrix, Jjakji over Losira, MC over Kyrix, Check over Jjakji, Losira over Kyrix, Check over MC, Jjakji over Kyrix, Losira over Check, and Jjakji over MC. These results set up playoff rounds where we had Check over Losira, Losira over Jjakji, Jjakji over Check, Losira over Check, and finally Jjakji over Check. In the end, the results are Jjakji and Losira to Code S, Check, Kyrix, and the great MC all going to Code A.

In other news, the final invites to DreamHack Valencia have been announced. For the complete list we have Lucifron, Rain, Hero, Thorzain, DRG, Idra, Huk, and finally Naniwa.

Also announced is the TL TeamSpeak Open #23. This time it is a 4v4 format. That should be fun and excited to see what kind of teams appear from this. Tune into Team Liquid this weekend for those matches.

Another announcement today is from ESV.tv, who used to be iCCup. It seems that they have reached a partnership deal with GomTV and the GSL. It appears that the winner of it's Korean Weekly finals at the end of the series will be automatically awarded a Code A spot. This is great news for ESV and Gom and it signals another step into GSL.
