Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewS Cast for Saturday, September 17th.
Well, let's start with the NASL Week 1, Division 4 play. The maps for today were The Shattered Temple, Xel'naga Caverns, and Crevasse. The first match up of the night was Ret taking on Inka and in two very 1-sided games, Ret showed himself as a top tier player as he took the series 2-0. The next match was the premier match of the week as Sen falling to Select 2-0. The final match of the night was Strelok making simple work of InControl 2-0.
The other big action of today was the DreamHack Valencia Invitational where 8 top players took each on for $15,000 bucks. In the round of 8 we had Thorzain over Huk 2-1, Hero over Idra 2-0, Rain over Naniwa 2-0, and DongRaeGu over Lucifron 2-0. In the round of 4 we had Thorzain over Hero 2-0 and DongRaeGu over Rain 2-0. The finals we had DongRaeGu over Thorzain 3-2 to take the championship.
Today we also had the GSL Arena of Legends with group B play. Just like last night, we had a series of 2-0 matches as MarineKing took down Trickster, Losira took down Trickster, and MarineKing took down Losira which means that MarineKing advances to the championship bracket.
Also played today was the TL TeamSpeak Open. The finals were Yong Over Ranged 2-0 with 3rd/4th going to LuckyFool and Sync`.
