Here we go everyone with the SC2 NewSCast covering Friday, May 6th:
In the GSL Code S Semifinals we had oGs.Nada vs. oGs.InCa (TvP) facing off in a best-of-5 match with InCa winning 3-0 on the maps Xel'naga Caverns, Tal'darim Alter LE, and Crevasse to take the series and move onto the GSL Code S Finals. We highly recommend checking out the VOD for Game 3 of that match!
In the other GSL match of the evening we had IM.NesTea vs. SC.fou (ZvT) in their best-of-5 series. SC took games 1 and 4, but that was not enough as NesTea took game 2, 3, and the final game 5. The maps for that match up were Metalopolis, Xel'naga Fortress, Tal'darim Alter LE, Terminus SE, and Crossfire SE. Check out that entire series if you get the chance.
And on the other side of the Pacific for tonight we had the NASL with Division 3 play. The Maps for the night were Shattered Temple, Terminus RE, and Crossfire SE. First match of the night was EGs Axslav vs. Mouz Strelok (PvT) in a best-of-3 with Axslav going down 2-1 and Strelok only dropping game 1 of the set.
Next we had Sixjax DDE facing off against FXO.Moonglade (TvZ) with Moonglade taking the first 2 games to win the series.
After that was Startale's Squirtle vs. Fnatic.KawaiiRaice (PvT) with Squirtle taking both games in convincing fashion.
As Team Liquid's Haypro vs. oGs.Nada's match was rescheduled due to the GSL, the final match of the night was ROOT Gaming's Slush vs. dignitas.Naniwa (ZvP) which Naniwa took 2-0. Game 2 ended with a failed, non-scouted 7-pool which Naniwa held off with some brilliant and calculating decisions. He showed everyone again why he is one of the best Protoss players outside of Korea.
Here is a quick update on how Division 3 is shaping up after 4 weeks.
Strelok: 4-0
Naniwa: 3-1
Squirtle: 3-1
Slush: 3-1
Nada: 2-1
Axslav: 1-3
DDE: 1-3
KawaiiRice: 1-3
MoonGlade: 1-3
Haypro: 0-3
Coming up tomorrow we have NASL Division 4 at 6 PM PST, of course hosted by InControl and Gretorp. We also will have TSL3 Semifinals with Empire.Kas facing off against Thorzain in a bo7. That match starts at 11 AM PST and will be casted by Chill and DJWheat, so don't miss those.
