Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Friday, November 4th.
Well, we will start off the night with action over in the NASL. We had division 3, week 7 play tonight. The matches started with HwangSin getting the 2-0 walkover from SoftBall who has apparently dropped from the league. Next we had Sjow going 2-1 over the strong Protoss Socke. The final match of the night was Morrow over Kiwikaki 2-0 with a good base-race to end the series. The standings for this division after 7 weeks of play are:
Morrow 5-1, Idra 4-2, Kiwikaki 4-2, Socke 3-3, Jinro 3-3, HwangSin 3-3, Sjow 2-4, and Softball bringing it in at 0-6.
We also had group C play in the GomTV Arena of Legends tourney. The players for this group were Ganzi, DongRaeGu, Killer, Jjakji, and Leenock with DRG and Ganzi taking the series and advancing.
Also yesterday started the ASUS ROG Invitational. The first round we had Elfi over Huk 3-1, Select over Dimaga 3-2, Idra over Sjow 3-1, and White-Ra over Ret 3-2. In the semis we just had Select over Elfi 3-1 and Idra taking down White-Ra 3-0. The rest of the matches are going on as I am recording this.
In other news we have the announcement that the player Perfect, formally of VT gaming and aquired by Team Reign, has decided to leave Reign after contractual conflicts.

NewSCast for 28-Oct-11
Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Friday, October 28th.
Well, again not a ton of action or news for the day. We did have the Division 3 play in the NASL. The matches for today were HwangSin over Jinro 2-0. Next was a walkover given to Kiwikaki over SoftBall. The final match was Idra taking down Sjow 2-1. The division standings after 6 weeks of play are:
Idra 5-2, Morrow 4-1, Kiwikaki 4-1, Jinro 3-3, Socke 3-2, HwangSin 2-3, Sjow 1-4, and SoftBall 0-5.
We also had the Loser's Finals and Final matches in the MLG Global Invitational. The loser's finals was MVP over Bomber 4-3. This led to the finals between MVP and MMA with MVP taking the series 4-2. We will be seeing these players face one another at MLG Providence.
In other news, we have the announcement that Korean Zerg player Zenio has left team oGs and is looking for another team due to housing conflicts. He was a former Code S player, now dropped down into the Code A area. Let's see who picks him up.
Also we have the announcement that July and Bomber from the team StarTale will be coming to GamesX in Stockholm. Also Stephano, Clide, and Puma were announced to be heading over to DreamHack Winter also in Sweden. They join players like MC, White-Ra, Huk, and DRG at that event.
In other very exciting news, there was a huge article from Korea stating that many pro Brood War players and teams are starting to slowly practice for StarCraft 2 knowing that KeSPA is leaning towards adding it to the ProLeague. There are many anonymous quotes, no exact names attached, but players are confirming this as well. Slasher also tweeted that the last Bonjwa, Flash, is one of those players as he is recovering from surgery. Could this be that we are moving closer and closer to the end of Brood War as we know it? We will just have to wait and see.

NewSCast for 15-Oct-11 - No MP3 today
Here we go again everyone, I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Saturday, October 15th.
Well, I am going to quickly run down the results from the last 2 days in the NASL as I missed yesterday's matches. From Friday we had Sjow over HwangSin 2-1, Jinro over SoftBall 2-0, and Morrow over Idra 2-1. Saturday we had NightEnd over Inka 2-0, Moonglade over Select 2-0, and Ret over InControl 2-1.
Now onto action in MLG Orlando. Group A finished with MarineKing taking the group 4-1, tied with Idra, but since he lost the head to head, MKP take the group. Then there was Haypro at 3-2, Boxer 2-3, TLO 1-4, and Drewbie 1-4. In group B we had Bomber 4-1, Puma 4-1, Sase 4-1, Sheth 2-3, Kiwikaki 1-4, and InControl 0-5. In group C we had TheSTC at 5-0, Ret at 3-2, HongUn at 3-2, Rain at 2-3, Machine 1-4, and Slush 1-4. In group D we had Huk at 4-1, July 4-1, MC 3-2, Hero 3-2, Ddoro 1-4, and Tyler at 0-5. The championship bracket is MarineKing vs. Huk and Bomber vs. TheSTC.
Notable players still in the championship lower bracket are Kiwikaki, Stephano, Machine, Tyler, Ddoro, Slush, TLO, Polt, and all the other players from group play.
In competing action, we had Day 3 at IEM New York where the finals are set between DongRaeGu and none other than FruitDealer himself. Could FD be on an upswing? We will wait and see.

NewSCast for 7-Oct-11
Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewS Cast for Friday, October 7th.
Well, with some good action today, we will start with play over in the IPL3 in Atlantic City. In group play, we had groups C and D play. Group C did not finish all of their group stage games due to some technical difficulties, and group D did play, but most players were not really trying too hard. What we did get though was the finals in the open bracket leading into the championships. Instead of listing all games, I will list each of the championship matchups for the ro32:
We have aLive vs. Haypro, Artist vs. Idra, Huk vs. KawaiiRice, Slush vs. White-Ra, Stephano vs. Kiwikaki, Sheth vs. MMA, Boxer vs. Lucky, Catz vs. TheSTC, Sleep vs. Minigun, Violet vs. Strelok, Select vs. Machine, Socke vs. Ryung, Thorzain vs. Spanishiwa, Demuslim vs. Ret, Hero vs. Puma, and Inori vs. MC.
We also had the GSTL finals featuring Team MVP against the Prime Clan and here is the rundown:
Check over Vampire, then Noblesse over Check, Terious, and Creator. Then we had BboongBboong over Noblesse and Genius. This brought in Keen for the final 2 kills over BB and MarineKing to take the series 5-3 for MVP. Congrats to the new team Champions!
We also had NASL Division 3 play. The maps for today were Antiga, Terminus, and Dual Sight. The results were HwangSin over Morrow 2-0. Next we had Jinro falling to Kiwikaki 2-0, and the last match of the night was Idra falling to Socke 2-1. The standings for this division after 4 weeks of play are:

NewSCast for 30-Sept-11
Here we go again everyone, I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewS Cast for Friday, September 30th.
Well, some good action to go over today. We will start with the GSTL Playoffs from early Friday morning. The teams were MVP taking on NSHosea and here is the rundown:
Tassadar over Tails, Keen over Tassadar, Seal over Keen, but then the man himself, MVPGenius came in and cleaned house taking down Seal, Sculp, Jjakji, and Sage to take the victory for his team 5-2. This means that MVP will advance to the finals to face Prime.
We also had NASL Division 3 Week 3 play today. The maps were on Terminus, Dual Sight, and Bel'Shir Beach. The first match of the night was Socke over HwangSin 2-0. Next we had Morrow looking very strong as he dominated SoftBall 2-0. Following that up was Sjow and Jinro duking it out in a match that ended in a 2-0 victory for Jinro. In the final match of the night Idra tore through Kiwikaki 2-0. The current standings for division 3 are:
Idra 3-0, Morrow 3-0, Jinro 2-1, Socke 2-1, Kiwikaki 1-1, HwangSin 0-2, Sjow 0-3, and SoftBall at 0-3.
Also played today was Day 1 in IEM Global Challenge in China. The top 2 from each group advance to the finals bracket. The first two groups played today with Puma taking Group A 3-0, HasuObs 2-1, YHY 1-2, and Pig coming in last at 0-3. In Group B we had Dimaga take the group 3-0 followed by JYP 2-1, Rain 1-2, and XiGua 0-3.
We also had the semifinals in the GSL Arena of Legends. The first match was MMA getting torn apart by MarineKing 3-0. The other match was DRG taking down July 3-2.
In some other news, there was a tweet by Sundance, the CEO of MLG, today that stated:
Twitter and Reddit nation. StarCraft on ESPN2... Would you tune in? I am sitting with a TV exec who wants to know. You've got an hour.
Sounds like there might be some big news abrewing over in MLG Land.

StarCraft 2 NewSCast for Friday, September 16th
Here we go again everyone. I am TheAmazombie and this is your StarCraft 2 NewS Cast for Friday, September 16th.
Well, we will start with the big action in the NASL with Division 3 Week 1 play. The maps for today were Bel'Shir Beach, The Shattered Temple, and Xel'naga Caverns. Here are the results:
Idra over Softball 2-0, Jinro over Socke after two fast all-ins from Socke that failed 2-0, and finally we had Morrow go 2-1 over Sjow.
In other news, we had the start of the GSL Arena of Legends tournament. The players today were NesTea, MMA, and MC. In a series of 2-0 matches, we had MMA over NesTea, NesTea over MC, and MMA over MC. This means that MMA advances to the finals bracket.
Also announced today were the pools for MLG Orlando coming up next month. In pool A we have Idra, Haypro, TLO, Drewbie, and Boxer. In pool B we have Kiwikaki, Bomber, InControl, Sheth, and Puma. For Pool C we have Slush, Ret, Rain, Machine, and HongUn. For the final group we have Huk, DongRaeGu, Socke, MC, and July. This means there are quite a few Koreans in there and all groups are going to have a hard time.
In other news, the European team Mousesports has acquired a new member in Bigs. Now I am not too familiar with him, but Mouz is a strong team and I am sure that they see a lot of potential in Bigs.
